Our Teaching Approach
Our teaching approach is learner-centred, structured, and supportive, ensuring that every learner is guided to understand, grow, and gain confidence. Teachers closely support learners through interactive lessons, continuous assessment and guided practice, creating a classroom environment where learners feel encouraged and motivated to succeed
Co-Curricular Activities & Sports
The school offers a range of co-curricular activities and sports, designed to support physical health, teamwork, creativity, and discipline. Activities are well-planned and scheduled, allowing learners to develop talents and life skills alongside academic learning. We offer games like: Kabadi, Football, Volley ball, Badminton.. etc
Care, Supervision & Student Wellbeing
Learner wellbeing is a priority, especially for our younger children. Pre-primary learners are closely supervised and supported throughout the day, with teachers and caregivers accompanying them during activities and providing comfort, reassurance, and care whenever needed. This nurturing environment helps young learners feel safe, secure, and well cared for as they settle into school life
Educational Trips & Learning Experiences
The school organises educational trips and learning experiences that complement classroom instruction and expose learners to real-world environments. These trips are carefully planned, supervised, and aligned with learning objectives, helping learners broaden their understanding, build curiosity, and develop social skills in a safe and structured setting.
Our Christian Faith & Spiritual Development
Nyahururu Highway Schools is founded on Christian (Presbyterian) values, which guide daily life within the school community. Learners participate in Christian instruction, prayer, and spiritual development programmes that promote moral growth, respect, discipline, and compassion.
While grounded in Christian principles, the school welcomes learners from all faiths and fosters an environment of mutual respect and understanding.
